killed a man that she claimed had attempted to r*pe her. Before she was killed, Reyhaney wrote a very
emotional letter to her mother, asking that her organs be donated to those who need them. See the full text of
the letter after the cut...
The full text of the letter was translated by the National Council of Resistance of Iran:
Dear Sholeh, today I learned that it is now my turn to face Qisas (the Iranian regime's law of retribution). I am
hurt as to why you did not let me know yourself that I have reached the last page of the book of my life. Don’t
you think that I should know? You know how ashamed I am that you are sad. Why did you not take the chance
for me to kiss your hand and that of dad?
The world allowed me to live for 19 years. That ominous night it was I that should have been killed. My body
would have been thrown in some corner of the city, and after a few days, the police would have taken you to
the coroner’s office to identify my body and there you would also learn that I had been r*ped as well. The
murderer would have never been found since we don’t have their wealth and their power. Then you would
have continued your life suffering and ashamed, and a few years later you would have died of this suffering
and that would have been that.
However, with that cursed blow the story changed. My body was not thrown aside, but into the grave of Evin
Prison and its solitary wards, and now the grave-like prison of Shahr-e Ray. But give in to the fate and don’t
complain. You know better that death is not the end of life.
You taught me that one comes to this world to gain an experience and learn a lesson and with each birth a
responsibility is put on one’s shoulder. I learned that sometimes one has to fight. I do remember when you
told me that the carriage man protested the man who was flogging me, but the flogger hit the lash on his head
and face that ultimately led to his death. You told me that for creating a value one should persevere even if
one dies.
You taught us that as we go to school one should be a lady in face of the quarrels and complaints. Do you
remember how much you underlined the way we behave? Your experience was incorrect. When this incident
happened, my teachings did not help me. Being presented in court made me appear as a cold-blooded
murderer and a ruthless criminal. I shed no tears. I did not beg. I did not cry my head off since I trusted the
law.
But I was charged with being indifferent in face of a crime. You see, I didn’t even kill the mosquitoes and I
threw away the cockroaches by taking them by their antennas. Now I have become a premeditated murderer.
My treatment of the animals was interpreted as being inclined to be a boy and the judge didn’t even trouble
himself to look at the fact that at the time of the incident I had long and polished nails.
How optimistic was he who expected justice from the judges! He never questioned the fact that my hands are
not coarse like those of a sportswoman, especially a boxer. And this country that you planted its love in me
never wanted me and no one supported me when under the blows of the interrogator I was crying out and I
was hearing the most vulgar terms. When I shed the last sign of beauty from myself by shaving my hair I was
rewarded: 11 days in solitary.
Dear Sholeh, don’t cry for what you are hearing. On the first day that in the police office an old unmarried
agent hurt me for my nails I understood that beauty is not looked for in this era. The beauty of looks, beauty of
thoughts and wishes, a beautiful handwriting, beauty of the eyes and vision, and even beauty of a nice voice.
My dear mother, my ideology has changed and you are not responsible for it. My words are unending and I
gave it all to someone so that when I am executed without your presence and knowledge, it would be given to
you. I left you much handwritten material as my heritage.
However, before my death I want something from you, that you have to provide for me with all your might
and in any way that you can. In fact this is the only thing I want from this world, this country and you. I know
you need time for this. Therefore, I am telling you part of my will sooner. Please don’t cry and listen. I want
you to go to the court and tell them my request. I cannot write such a letter from inside the prison that would
be approved by the head of prison; so once again you have to suffer because of me. It is the only thing that if
even you beg for it I would not become upset although I have told you many times not to beg to save me from
being executed.
My kind mother, dear Sholeh, the one more dear to me than my life, I don’t want to rot under the soil. I don’t
want my eye or my young heart to turn into dust. Beg so that it is arranged that as soon as I am hanged my
heart, kidney, eye, bones and anything that can be transplanted be taken away from my body and given to
someone who needs them as a gift. I don’t want the recipient know my name, buy me a bouquet, or even pray
for me. I am telling you from the bottom of my heart that I don’t want to have a grave for you to come and
mourn there and suffer. I don’t want you to wear black clothing for me. Do your best to forget my difficult
days. Give me to the wind to take away.
The world did not love us. It did not want my fate. And now I am giving in to it and embrace the death.
Because in the court of God I will charge the inspectors, I will charge inspector Shamlou, I will charge judge,
and the judges of country’s Supreme Court that beat me up when I was awake and did not refrain from
harassing me. In the court of the creator I will charge Dr. Farvandi, I will charge Qassem Shabani and all those
that out of ignorance or with their lies wronged me and trampled on my rights and didn’t pay heed to the fact
that sometimes what appears as reality is different from it.
Dear soft-hearted Sholeh, in the other world it is you and me who are the accusers and others who are the
accused. Let’s see what God wants. I wanted to embrace you until I die. I love you.

wizkid explains why he his not bothered about fans comments

In a very interesting interview with Encomium, Wizkid open up on very important issues. READ Excerpts..
Asked if it bothers him that people think he's arrogant, Wizkid said;
"Bother me? Never! I am not bothered. Honestly I don't hear people saying it because anytime I go out, I show
my fans great love. I do my thing. I don't have problem with that because I don't love everybody as well. So I
don't expect everybody to love me too. That's life"
Bonus Video: The most Endowed girl on instagram had a wardrobe malfunction, revealing her boobs in the pool. See
Video here>>>>>>> Click here for Video
Asked if he is terrible person, Wizkid said;
"Terrible? Everyone has opinion about people. But when they say Wizkid is terrible, you need to ask them, "Why is
Wizkid a terrible person? What did he do? For four years, I was making music with Samklef, everyone knew his house. I
was going up and down, shouting, Samklef Nor Ni. That's me, I am just trying to be a good person. Whereas everyone
cannot like you and everyone cannot hate you" he said.
Asked if fame has in anyway changed him, Wizkid said
"No, fame has not changed Wizkid. The only thing fame has changed in Wizkid is that I added some accessories. I
have got nice chains, watches, and nice clothes. Asides that, I am still Wizkid. I no tall, still same height"
He also reacted to his recent controversy with singer Saeon,
"Oh really? She's bitter about it. I didn't see the allegation but I gave her hit song. I no try? I did my part. I was in
the studio with her, gave her hit song. I no try. That's not even how much I charge for collaboration, I charge N10
million. I collected N1.5 million from her because of love. I was busy, I didn't want to do it" he said.
Asked about the comment that he doesn't charge those he loves, Wizkid said;
"Yeah I don't charge people I love. I said so but when someone is on your neck everyday for a collaboration and she
offers you money, won't you collect it? If you fail to collect it, they start calling you terrible person. I am just trying
to be a good guy"
On his fashion sense, Wizkid said;
"Fresh! Am I not looking fresh? I have always loved chains a lot. For me, I also see chains as investment because they
are gold and diamond. You can always sell anything gold and diamond. It is like an investment for me".
On why he loves to flaunt his accessories on social media, Wizkid said;
"You know now. I didn't have accessories when I started my career. Did you see me wearing bling-bling when I did
Hola at your boi? No! I hustled to get money to buy them and there is no crime if I show it or flaunt it to my fans
because they gave me money to buy them" he said
On where he invests his money, Wizkid said;
"I will say property but most importantly Jewelry. Do you know how much I can sell this chain on my neck when I get
broke, God forbid? It's money and to me it's investment. I don't spend money on foolish things. I spend moderately.
Besides I am a grown man. I have problems too. I have a child I am taking care of. I have responsibilities, believe it
or not"
Asked if he is expecting another child, Wizkid said;
"Expecting wetin? Did I tell you I am expecting a child? Yes I didn't tell you guys when I was expecting my first child
because people wanted to kill me but Honestly, nothing like that I am not expecting any child now"
Asked if he is getting married anytime soon, Wizkid hissed and said "Wedding? No!"

Senetor bukola washes president Johnathan..... PDP members sha o

Senator Bukola Saraki, representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly made this known while addressing reporters in Ilorin, the Kwara State, Friday. Saraki who noted that he once used his position as the chairman Nigeria Governors’ Forum to settle a similar situation in 2011. According to Saraki: “Because of the selfish interest of President Goodluck Jonathan in seeking re-election, he cannot look at the governors and tell them point blank what he wants. What I disagree with is that because the issue pertains to PDP, it is being made very important. “You say the governors are emperors, the system gives those powers to the governors. It is something that should have been addressed, because some of us saw it coming.” “The crisis between the state governors of the PDP and their Senators is an internal affair of their party and it shouldn’t have been allowed to affect running of the upper chamber of the National Assembly. “I sympathise with my colleagues from the PDP because of where they find themselves. But some of us had told many of them before now that this is going to happen.” Read Details On The Nation

Ebola surging in Sierra Leone amid lack of treatment centres - U.N

Dakar - The number of Ebola cases is surging in
Sierra Leone as the country suffers from a lack
of treatment centres, while lack of food and
basic goods is forcing some people to leave
quarantine areas, the United Nations said.
The U.N. Mission for Ebola Emergency
Response (UNMEER) said in its weekly report
that a total of 1,062 people had died in Sierra
Leone from the virus, with the outbreak
particularly virulent in the western areas around
the coastal capital Freetown.
Sierra Leone is emerging as the focal point for
concern in the worst Ebola outbreak on record.
The World Health Organization said on
Wednesday that 4,818 people had died in the
epidemic and said the number of cases was still
rising in Sierra Leone, though it was stabilising
in neighbouring Guinea and slowing in Liberia.
Sierra Leone has 288 beds spread across four
Ebola Treatment Centres (ETCs) treating 196
confirmed cases of the disease as of Nov. 2,
UNMEER said.

However, the U.N. mission said it suspects an
average of 50 percent of cases of the Ebola
virus disease (EVD) are not being reported
across Sierra Leone.
UNMEER said a total of 1,864 beds were
needed by December. Ten new treatment
centres are currently planned, with a capacity of
1,133 beds.
"An additional 731 safe beds need to be
planned, secured and made available by the
first week of December," UNMEER said in its
report, released late on Wednesday.
"Lack of available beds in ETCs is forcing
families to care for patients at home, where
caregivers are unable to adequately protect
themselves from EVD exposure, thereby
increasing transmission risk."
It said a lack of clarity of evacuation
procedures and hazard pay was deterring
foreign and national medical staff from coming
forward to run the units.
UNMEER reported a growing incidence of
families leaving their quarantined homes due to
lack of food and non-food items, but did not
provide further details.
It said that the World Food Programme (WFP)
has been distributing one-month rations to
quarantined household and communities in the
hard-hit area of Waterloo, in the outskirts of
Freetown, where 80 percent of people in need
have already received rations..

WHO WILL BREAK IT.....LEO OR CR7

The race is almost over - and Lionel Messi is set
to win it. Barcelona's brilliant forward scored
twice at Ajax on Wednesday night to move above
Cristiano Ronaldo in the Champions League
scoring charts and draw level with Real Madrid
icon Raul on 71 goals in the continental
competiton. And he is now in pole position to pi
the Portuguese to the outright record as well.
Messi, who is on the verge of breaking Telmo
Zarra's record for goals in La Liga, netted once in
each half to make it 71 Champions League strike
on Wednesday and eclipse Ronaldo, who failed to
convert in Madrid's 1-0 win at home to Liverpool
the previous night.
Earlier on Wednesday, Ronaldo had picked up his
Golden Shoe for finishing - level with Luis Suarez
- as Europe's top goalscorer in league football in
2013-14 and announced: "I want to be
remembered as the best player ever."
Ronaldo also hinted he would beat his rival to
Raul's record when he said after scoring in his
side's 3-0 victory at Anfield last month: "I'm not
worried about that. I know I'm going to break th
record. Messi is very close too.

Now he is even closer. The Argentine headed
home in the first half to give Barca the lead after
Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen had come
rushing off his line and Marc Bartra's clever cros
picked out the 27-year-old. Messi then made it
2-0 after Ajax had been reduced to 10 men,
sliding home to convert from close range after he
had played a neat one-two with Pedro.
The four-time Ballon d'Or winner came close to a
hat-trick late in the game as he sought to claim
the record outright, but he will have the
opportunity to surpass Raul on November 25,
when Barcelona travel to APOEL in the fifth round
of group matches.
Although the Argentine failed to score in the hom
game against the Cypriot side, he will be
expected to convert in the return - especially wit
the record at stake.
Ronaldo will have to wait a day more for his
opportunity to overtake his former club colleague
and will also fancy his chances as Madrid host
Bulgarian side Ludogorets at the Santiago
Bernabeu.
"We are happy for Leo [to get the record]," Xavi
said after the match. "He has worked very hard
for the team. He is the one that makes the
difference, the number one."
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique echoed Xavi's
comments: "Messi is without doubt the best
player I've seen as a player and a coach."
Just don't tell that to Cristiano.

FC Barcelona
are currently
in disastrous run of form as they have
lost two games in a row and they will be
eager to come back to the winning ways
again when they face Ajax at
Amsterdam ArenA in their fourth game
of UEFA Champions League.
FC Barcelona made an excellent start
to their season under new boss Luis
Enrique but it now appears that the
team is struggling to maintain the
same level intensity. FC Barcelona
were convincingly beaten by Real
Madrid a fortnight ago at Santiago
Bernabeu. Their poor run continued
when they lost to Celta Vigo at their
own Camp Nou and the fans will be
hoping for the team to come back to
the winning ways in this crucial
fixture of Group F of UEFA
Champions League.
This is a must win game for Ajax
Amsterdam as they have earned only
two points from their first three
games so far and they will be out of
the Champions League if they lose
against FC Barcelona on Wednesday.

for a strong performance from his
inexperienced defenders as it has
become a biggest area of concern for
the Ducth champions in the new
season. Ajax have conceded 12 goals
in 11 games of Eredivisie so far.
Ajax have no option but to secure a
win against FC Barcelona on
Wednesday and Franc de Boer is
expected to start the game with his
usual 4-3-3 formation. Ajax head
into the match against FC Barcelona
on the back of two back-to-back
Eredivisie victories and coach De
Boer knows their opponents deserve
respect but urged his players not to
fear FC Barcelona.
Speaking to Dutch newspaper De
Telegraaf, De Boer said: “We need to
disturb as a team. We have to give
them no air to breathe.
“Two weeks ago we really had too
much fear of FC Barcelona. Respect is
allowed, but fear – of course – is not.
I would therefore also like to see
passion and confidence.
“Of course they have a lot of quality,
but against good teams you get space.
We should use that space well. Then
there are opportunities.”
Young midfield trio of Klaasen,
Zimling and Andersen has shown
some great promise this season and
they will hold the key for Ajax in this
do or die fixture against FC
Barcelona.

FC Barcelona
Striker Luis Suarez will make his
European debut for FC Barcelona
against his former employers Ajax on
Wednesday. Luis Suarez played for
Ajax till 2011, scoring 111 goals in
process.
FC Barcelona spend huge cash on
new signings like Jeremy Mathieu,
Luis Suarez, Thomas Varmaelen and
Claudio Bravo during the summer
transfer window but it now appears
that their defence is still not
improved while midfielders are also
struggling to control the tempo of the
games like they used to do it earlier.
The central defence is currently the
biggest area of concern for coach
Luis Enrique at the moment as
Gerard Pique is struggling for form
while Jeremy Mathieu is out injured.
Javier Mascherano will start the
game alongside Pique in absence of
Mathieu. Andres Iniesta will miss out
the game against Ajax due to calf
injury, while Sergi Roberto (groin)
and Thomas Vermaelen (thigh) are
also sidelined.
Another concern ahead of coach Luis
Enrique is his midfield. Ageing
maestro Xavi Hernandez is looking
ineffective while Andres Iniesta is
also struggling for a form since past
few games. Ivan Rakitic made a
promising start to his FC Barcelona
career and the coach is expected to
start the game against Ajax with him
in the midfield.
Lionel Messi has not scored in FC
Barcelona’s last two games but he
will be hoping to equal or beat the
record of Raul’s Champions League
goals by having a good game against
Ajax.
FC Barcelona currently sits second in
group F of Champions League and
this will be a crucial game for them if
they want to qualify for next round
as group winners. FC Barcelona have
lost two games in a row now and this
away game will be a big test for
them. And midfielder Sergio
Busquets stressed the importance of
this game in his pre-match press
conference.
Busquets said: “It’s only normal that
there’s some debate and for people to
analyse things through a magnifying
glass. When you lose you have to
improve because there are clearly
things you’re not getting quite right.
We are always self-critical, whether
we win or lose. We have keep
working to improve, there’s nothing
else we can do.”
Sergio Busquets also said that the
game with Ajax presents an ideal
opportunity to start making up lost
ground. “Hopefully we can put an
end to this poor run” he said. But he
also remembers their lost against
Ajax exactly a year ago. “They came
out strong and were all over us at the
start of the game. With the sending
off and our goal, everything changed.
I hope it doesn’t happen again.”
Predicted Starting XI (4-3-3): Ter
Stegen, Dani Alves, Pique,
Mascerano, Alba; Rakitic, Busquetes,
Xavi; Suarez, Messi, Neymar.
Player To Watch Out For
Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi has 69 Champions
League goals to his name and he just
needs 2 more goals to equal the
record of Raul Gonzalez.
Score Prediction
Ajax 1-2 FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona have struggled with
their form in recent games but they
are expected to come back strongly
against Dutch Champions Ajax at Amsterdam Arena.

#Supernatural healing# nurse survives ebola

A TEXAS nurse who was the second US
healthcare worker infected with Ebola while
caring for a Liberian patient left the hospital
overnight after being declared cured of the
virus.
“I’m so grateful to be well and first and
foremost I want to thank God,” Amber Vinson,
29, said at a press conference at Emory
University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Wearing a grey suit and pink blouse, Ms Vinson
appeared healthy and smiled often,
occasionally wiping away tears as the medical
team at Emory University Healthcare
surrounded her and her doctor spoke about her
care.
She also thanked her family and the medical
teams in Texas and Georgia, and asked for
people to continue to work to eradicate the
Ebola outbreak abroad.
“While this is a day for celebration and
gratitude, I ask that we not lose focus on the
thousands of families that continue to labour
under the burden of this disease in West
Africa.” Her colleague Nina Pham, 26, who also
worked in the intensive care unit of Texas
Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was
treated for Ebola at the National Institutes of
Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland
and was released on Friday.
Both became infected while caring for a
Liberian man, Thomas Eric Duncan, who was
diagnosed with Ebola in Texas after flying to
the United States from his native Liberia, the
country hardest hit by West Africa’s Ebola
epidemic. He died on October 8.
Ebola has killed more than 4900 people and
infected more than 10,000 since the beginning
of the year, according to the World Health
Organisation.
Vinson’s story sparked alarm across the United
States after the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention said she flew on a domestic
aeroplane from Texas to Ohio and back, and
reported a low-grade fever before boarding the
flight home.
The CDC cleared her for travel at the time —
about a day before she was diagnosed with
Ebola — but said later she should not have
been travelling on a commercial airliner.
Vinson’s family hired a high profile Washington
lawyer, Billy Martin, after issuing a statement
earlier this month saying they were “troubled
by some of the negative public comments and
media coverage that mischaracterize Amber
and her actions.” “In no way was Amber
careless prior to or after her exposure to Mr.
Thomas Eric Duncan. She has not and would
not knowingly expose herself or anyone else,” it
said.
The release of Vinson leaves just one patient in
US hospital care for Ebola, doctor Craig
Spencer, at Bellevue Hospital in New York.
She is the fourth person to have been
successfully treated for Ebola at Emory
University Hospital, after missionaries Kent and
Nancy Writebol and another unnamed American
doctor who was sickened in Sierra Leone.
Bruce Ribner, medical director of the serious
communicable diseases unit at Emory
University Hospital, said the hospital was
pleased with Vinson’s quick recovery — she
was admitted there two weeks ago — but said
it was unclear exactly why she healed so fast.
Ribner said her young age might have helped,
as well as the fact that she was wearing
protective gear when she treated Duncan,
though it remains unknown how she was
infected.
“It is quite likely that the amount of virus that
she was exposed to was substantially less
than what we see in patients who get infected
in less developed countries,” he said
Another nurse who was held for days against
her will in a medical tent in New Jersey after
volunteering in West Africa was in an
“undisclosed location” in Maine, objecting to
both states’ Ebola quarantine rules as overly
restrictive.
While world leaders appeal for more doctors
and nurses on the front lines of the Ebola
epidemic, health care workers in the United
States are finding themselves on the defensive.
Lawyers now represent both Amber Vinson,
who contracted the virus while caring for a
Liberian visitor to Texas, and Kaci Hickox, who
is challenging the mandatory quarantines some
states have imposed on anyone who has come
into contact with Ebola victims.

But all housemates are treading more carefully
after last week’s strikes and high emotion. What
will this week bring? Will we see more fights,
romance and drama? JJ and Mr. 265 were
already at odds in the kitchen. Are housemates
harbouring resentment about who does the most
cooking? But the housemates have learnt their
lesson after Samantha and M’am Bea’s

knows what will happen. With the title of
sneakiest housemate in the balance as well,
perhaps housemates will try to get along more for
Biggie’s sake. Only time will tell, and when
there's food involved with these housmates we

Chelsea can go unbeaten says.......

Former Gunners defender Sol Campbell feels
Chelsea can emulate Arsenal’s feat of going
unbeaten in a league campaign this season,
but admits that it will be difficult for Jose
Mourinho's men to do.
The England defender was part of the
Arsenal team that earned the 'Invincibles’
tag for remaining unbeaten in the 2003/04
league campaign.
Their run stretched to 49 games before they
were beaten by Manchester United at Old
Trafford on 24th October, 2004.
Chelsea are unbeaten in the league so far
this season and Campbell feels that
Mourinho’s side have it in them to remain
undefeated for the whole league campaign.
But he warned that the margin of error is
very fine and said that Arsenal’s feat in the
2003/04 season was nothing short of
incredible.
“Chelsea are the team [who can remain
unbeaten] but there is very little room for
error” , Campbell was quoted as saying by
Voetbal Primeur .
“One slip and the run will be over.
“Even with the best players and the best
managers, there are things you cannot
control.
“There were games we came back from the
pitch thinking,’ how have we done it’? I
didn’t realise then how incredible our
achievement really was.”
Arsenal won 26 and drew 12 games as they
won the league title in the 2003/04 season
and they were presented with a golden
Premier League trophy for their remarkable
achievement.

BOKO HARAM RELEASES ABDUCTED 60 WOMEN

Boko Haram releases abducted women in Adamawa

boko-haram5
There are reports that the Islamic violent group, Boko Haram has reportedly freed the 45 women recently abducted from Waga Mangoro and Madagali villages between Adamawa and Borno states.
This was made known by the villagers to newsmen on Thursday.
However, the villagers could not say the specific number of women that were let off the hook of the daredevil insurgents.
“Initially, the insurgents captured 80 girls and women whom they later loaded into their vans and zoomed off into the bushes”, a relative to the one of the women told Newswire on Thursday in Yola.
He claimed that some of the girls have been turned to cooks while others were married off immediately to some of the sect members.
The source said, later in the night, the extremists separated the elderly women from the girls and released the women, who are now wandering about in the forest because they could not locate their way back to the towns.
The relative was quoted as saying, “We are confused that hours after the so called cease fire agreement between the Federal Government and Boko Haram insurgents, our girls are still being abducted by the insurgents.“We are at a loss about government’s insincerity on the whole issue and we urge them to rescue our daughters without further delay as we are ready to die searching for our missing ones”, he added. so what do you think about this comment below

Few minutes later, the guy noticed that he couldn’t find his expensive watch on the nightstand again.

Pretending to help the victim, the suspect told him to check the back of the night stand as she hurried out of the hotel room.

As she was about to leave the hotel lobby, a thorough search revealed that the missing Rolex watch had been kept in her private part.

IPAD AIR 2 REALESED

Everything you need to know about the Apple iPad Air 2

Following months of leaks and rumours, the iPad Air 2 release date has come to pass and the new 9.7-inch is now on sale.

With the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus having taken a bow last month, October has been cemented as iPad territory with the iPad Air 2 having been announced alongside the refreshed iPad mini 3 earlier this month.

While the updated mini has disappointed, the iPad Air 2 has kicked the tablet market on to yet another level.

Adding the formerly iPhone exclusive TouchID fingerprint sensor, the 9.7-inch Nexus 9 rival has been bestowed with a mass of high-end specs, including a turbocharged, 64-bit A8X processor, 10 hour battery life and an iPhone 6 mimicking 8-megapixel iSight camera.

It's not just under the hood that the iPad Air 2 has been improved either, at just 6.1mm thick, the tablet has also been given a considerable design refresh.

We will continue to update this page with all the latest iPad Air 2 release date details moving forward.

Apple iPad invite

iPad Air 2 Release Date

The iPad Air 2 release date was held on October 22, with the tablet now available to buy through a range on online and in-store retailers.

With the tablet going on sale less than a week after its formal unveiling, Apple gave wannabe owners just a few days to save their pennies.

For those who just couldn't wait that long to secure their sixth-generation Apple tablet, iPad Air 2 pre-orders opened up on October 17.

The tablet has launched alongside its smaller sibling, with the iPad mini 3 also hitting retailers’ shelves recently.

If you’re tempted by the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 rival, check out our guide of where to buy the iPad Air 2 for all the latest deals.

The UK was one of 29 territories to offer the iPad Air 2 on day one, with the likes of the US, Germany, Canada and Australia also on the priority list.

iPad Air 2: Design

It had been expected that the iPad Air 2 would be a little slimmer than its predecessor, but no one anticipated just how skinny the tablet would become.

Retaining its premium, brushed metal materials, the Air 2, at a mere 6.1mm thick, is an impressive 18 per cent narrower than the already super svelte iPad Air.

It is the thinnest iPad we have ever made,” Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Marketing said of the device.

He added: “It is so thin you can stack two of them and still be thinner than the original iPad.”

Having been put on the Atkins, the Air 2 has dropped weight as well as millimetres. The Wi-Fi only options weigh 437g while the cellular capable tablets has a 444g heft.

The tablet’s design improvements are limited to a skinny finish either. New iPad Air 2 colours have been introduced.

Taking pointers from the iPhone lines, Apple has added a gold option to the traditional silver and space grey colour schemes.

iPad Air 2 Touch ID

TouchID was our favourite innovation that Apple brought to the iPhone 5S. Essentially a fingerprint scanner used to lock your phone securely, or buy apps at the press of a button, its brilliance comes from how easy it is to use.

Since you always take a phone out of the house with you, it’s arguably more important to be able to securely lock it than it is a mostly stay-at-home 10-inch tablet. That being said we were still surprised by its exclusion from the iPad Air. According to Apple we weren't alone in these thoughts.

"Perhaps the most requested feature from consumers is TouchID," Phil Schiller said. He added: "Now with iPad Air 2 there is TouchID."

The TouchID's introduction to the iPad Air 2 was widely expected but is still pleasing. The technology is also the only major update to the iPad mini 3.

iPad Air 2 Specs

Under the hood, the iPad Air 2 is a comprehensive update, with the tablet's processor, camera and graphical abilities all coming in for a sizeable refresh.

Although retaining the same 9.7-inch dimension and 2048 x 1536 resolution as its predecessor, the new iPad Air 2's screen has come in for a small update. The fully laminated panel adds a new anti-reflective coating which is 56 per cent less reflective than the original iPad Air.

Images and text should be suitably crisp thanks to a 264 pixels-per-inch image density.

On to power and the Air 2 is the first - and currently only - device to run the A8X processor. This is a turbocharged rendition of the CPU found within the recently unveiled iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones. By contrast, the iPad mini 3 has retained last year's A7 chipset.

“This is a new chip created just for iPad Air 2," Schiller said. "It has 3 billion transistors and offers 40 per cent better CPU performance."

He added: “It is 12 times faster than the original iPad. On graphical performance we are now 180 times faster.”

iPad Air 2

It's not just the tablet's CPU which has been bumped up either, both of the unit's camera has been updated.

Around back an iPhone 6 echoing 8-megapixel iSight camera has been introduced. This baosts an ff/ 2.4 aperture lens and can capture 1080p, Full HD video content. Time lapse shooting has also made the jump from the iPhone.

For selfie lovers, a refined, 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD camera sits up front. This offers an f/ 2.2 aperture with burst mode selfies available alongside HDR shooting and video recording modes.

Although the traditional 32GB capacity option has disappeared, the Air 2 will still be available in three storage options - 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.

All capacity options will come in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi plus cellular configurations.

In fact both features have been improved with faster 4G connections available alongside the addition of 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Having been introduced alongside the tablets, the new iOS 8.1 update will run the show direct from the box.

iPad Air 2 Price

iPad Air 2 pricing is a familiar affair with the 16GB Wi-Fi model kicking things off at just £399. Costs go up to £659 for the 128GB Wi-Fi plus 4G option.
Full iPad Air 2 prices can be found by following the link.

PS4 CONFIRMS 2.0 UPDATE

Sony has confirmed via Twitter that the PS4’s next significant firmware update, version 2.0, will be made available on October 28.

The update, which Sony has codenamed ‘Masamune’, will contain a host of new features, including theme support, enhancements to live broadcasting (which includes dedicated app support for YouTube and the ability to upload your gameplay footage directly to it), improved voice commands, and a USB music player that will allow us to insert a USB stick loaded with music into our PS4 and play our own music in the background while playing a game.
Masamune will also bring with it the long-awaited Share Play feature. Share Play “will create an online local co-op experience by allowing you to invite a friend to join your game—even when they don’t own a copy of it.” You’ll be able to play alongside a friend, or even invite them to temporarily take over the controls of the game you’re currently playing, “as if you were together in the same room.”
Sony first outlined PS4’s 2.0 firmware at Gamescom in August but, until now, Sony had not confirmed when it would be made available.
"Timing will be confirmed when there’s no chance of it changing," responded SCEA director of product planning & software innovation Scott McCarthy in a comment to a reader on the PlayStation Blog View image on Twitter
nominees for the 2014 edition of MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards were announcedit heightened the already tensed atmosphere as two of Nigeria’s biggest music stars at the moment and rivals, Wizkid and Davido were nominated in the same category of Best African Act award.
Wizkid and Davido were nominated alongside Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Dr Sid, Fuse ODG, Mafikizolo and Mista Silva. With Davido having won the international awards on offer, proclaiming him ‘Best African Artiste’ in 2014, he was thought to stand a better chance at winning the coveted award and most Nigerian music lovers did not even consider a situation that would see both stars losing out on the award.
But that is exactly what happened as neither of the stars won the MOBO award when the awards ceremony finally held on October 22, at the SSE Arena at Wembley, London.
Pulling the rug from their feet was Ghanaian rap superstar, Fuse ODG who clinched the Best African Artiste of the year award, leaving the two Nigerian stars, especially Wizkid who would have sought to equate the scales against Davido, utterly disappointed.
As if they knew the award was heading elsewhere other than Nigeria, both did not bother to travel to London for the award, with investigations revealing Davido was in Lagos on that day while Wzkid was in far away East Africa for double performances in Uganda and Kenya.
Meanwhile, British music star, Sam Smith whose song, ‘Stay with me’ has been the game changer on the global scene in 2014 so far, scooped four awards, going home with the Best RnB/Soul, Best Male, Best Song and Best Album gongs at the end of the event.

MOST SUCCESSFUL CLUB IN THE WORLD

Associazione Calcio Milan (Italian pronunciation: [assotʃatˈtsjoːne ˈkaltʃo ˈmiːlan] ( )), commonly referred to as A.C. Milan or simply Milan, is a professional Italian football club based in Milan, Lombardy, that plays in Serie A. Milan was founded in 1899 by English lace-maker Herbert Kilpin and businessman Alfred Edwards among others.[2][4] The club has spent its entire history, with the exception of the 1980–81 and 1982–83 seasons, in the top flight of Italian football, known as Serie A since 1929–30.[2]
They are the second most successful club in world football in terms of international trophies along with Boca Juniors, with 18 officially recognised UEFA and FIFA titles.[5] Milan has won a record of three Intercontinental Cups and one of its successor, the FIFA Club World Cup.[5] Milan have also won the European Cup/Champions League on seven occasions,[5] second only to Real Madrid.[6] They have also won the UEFA Super Cup a record five times and the Cup Winners' Cup twice.[5] Milan has won every major competition in which it has competed, with the exception of the Europa League (in this competition they have lost two semi-finals in 1972 and in 2002). Domestically, with 18 league titles Milan is the joint-second most successful club in Serie A behind Juventus (30 titles), along with local rivals Inter.[7] They have also won the Coppa Italia five times, as well as a joint record six Supercoppa Italiana triumphs.[5]
Milan's home games are played at San Siro, also known as the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. The stadium, which is shared with Inter, is the largest in Italian football, with a total capacity of 80,018.[8] Inter are considered their biggest rivals, and matches between the two teams are called Derby della Madonnina, which is one of the most followed derbies in football.[9] As of 2010, Milan is the third most supported team in Italy,[10] and the seventh most supported team in Europe, ahead of any other Italian team.[11]
The owner of the club is former Italian Prime Minister and controlling shareholder of Mediaset Silvio Berlusconi, and the vice-president is Adriano Galliani. The club is one of the wealthiest and most valuable in Italian and world football.[12] It was a founding member of the now-defunct G-14 group of Europe's leading football clubs as well as its replacement, the European Club Association.[13]

Herbert Kilpin, the first captain of A.C. Milan
A.C. Milan was founded as Milan Cricket and Foot-Ball Club on 16 December 1899 by English expatriates Alfred Edwards and Herbert Kilpin,[4] who came from the English city of Nottingham. In honour of its English origins, the club has retained the English spelling of the city's name, as opposed to the Italian spelling Milano which it was forced to bear under the fascist regime. Milan won its first Italian championship in 1901 and a further two in succession in 1906 and 1907.[2]
In 1908, Milan experienced a split caused by internal disagreements over the signing of foreign players, which led to the forming of another Milan-based team, F.C. Internazionale Milano.[14] Following these events, Milan did not manage to win a single domestic title until 1950–51.[5] The 1950s saw the club return to the top of Italian football, headed by the famous Gre-No-Li Swedish trio Gunnar Gren, Gunnar Nordahl and Nils Liedholm. This was one of the club's most successful periods domestically, with the Scudetto going to Milan in 1951, 1955, 1957, 1959 and 1962.[5] In 1963, Milan won its first continental title by beating S.L. Benfica in the final of the European Cup.[15] This success was repeated in 1969, with a 4–1 win over AFC Ajax in the final, which was followed by the Intercontinental Cup title the same year.[5] During this period Milan also won its first Coppa Italia, with victory over Padova in the 1967 final, and three European Cup Winners' Cups; in 1967–68, 1972–73 and 1973–74.[5]
Milan won a tenth league title in 1979, but after the retirement of Gianni Rivera in the same year, the team went into a period of decline. The club was involved in the 1980 Totonero scandal and as punishment was relegated to Serie B for the first time in its history.[16] The scandal was centred around a betting syndicate paying players and officials to fix the outcome of matches.[16] Milan achieved promotion back to Serie A at the first attempt, winning the 1980–81 Serie B title,[5] but were again relegated a year later as the team ended its 1981–82 campaign in third last place. In 1983, Milan won the Serie B title for the second time in three seasons to return to Serie A,[5] where they achieved a sixth place finish in 1983–84.
On 20 February 1986, entrepreneur Silvio Berlusconi acquired the club and saved it from bankruptcy investing vast amounts of money,[2] appointing rising manager Arrigo Sacchi at the helm of the Rossoneri and signing the Dutch trio of Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard.[2] The Dutch trio added an attacking impetus to the team, and complimented the club's Italian internationals Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi, Alessandro Costacurta and Roberto Donadoni. Under Sacchi, Milan won its first Scudetto in nine years in the 1987–88 season. The following year the club won its first European Cup in two decades, beating Romanian club Steaua București 4–0 in the final. Milan retained their title with a 1–0 win over Benfica a year later and remain the last team to win back-to-back European Cups.[17] The Milan team of 1989–90 has been voted the best club side of all time, in a global poll of experts conducted by World Soccer magazine.[18]
After Sacchi left Milan in 1991, he was replaced by the club's former player Fabio Capello whose team won three consecutive Serie A titles between 1992 and 1994, a spell which included a 58 match unbeaten run in Serie A[19] and back-to-back UEFA Champions League final appearances in 1993 and 1994. A year after losing 1–0 to Olympique de Marseille in the 1993 Champions League final, the team reached its peak in one of Milan's most memorable matches of all time, the famous 4–0 win over Barcelona in the 1994 Champions League final.[19] Capello's team went on to win the 1995–96 league title before he left to coach Real Madrid in 1996.[19] In 1998–99, after a two-year period of decline, Milan lifted its 16th championship in the club's centenary season.
Carlo Ancelotti won the UEFA Champions League twice as Milan manager
Milan's next period of success came under another former player, Carlo Ancelotti. After his appointment in November 2001, Ancelotti took Milan to the 2003 Champions League final, where they defeated Juventus on penalties to win the club's sixth European Cup.[20] The team then won the Scudetto in 2003–04, before reaching the 2005 Champions League final, where they were beaten by Liverpool on penalties despite leading 3–0 at half time.[20] Two years later, the two teams met again in the 2007 Champions League final with Milan winning 2–1 to lift the title for a seventh time.[20][21] The team then won its first FIFA Club World Cup in December 2007.[22] In 2009, after becoming Milan's second longest serving coach, with 420 matches overseen,[22] Ancelotti left the club to take over as head-coach at Chelsea.
During this period, the club was involved in the Calciopoli scandal, where five teams were accused of fixing matches by selecting favourable referees.[23] A police inquiry excluded any involvement of Milan managers,[24] but FIGC unilaterally decided that it had sufficient evidence to charge Milan vice-president, Adriano Galliani. As a result, Milan was initially punished with a 15-point deduction and was initially banned from the 2006–07 UEFA Champions League. An appeal saw that penalty reduced to eight points,[25] which allowed the club to retain its Champions League participation.
Following the aftermath of Calciopoli, local rivals Internazionale dominated Serie A, winning four Scudetti. However, with the help a strong squad boasting players such as Zlatan Ibrahimović, Robinho and Alexandre Pato joining many of the veterans of the club's mid-decade European successes, Milan recaptured the Scudetto in the 2010–11 Serie A season, their first since the 2003–04 season, and 18th overall.[26][27]

Colours and badge

Shirt worn by Milan in the 2007 Champions League Final
Red and black are the colours which have represented the club throughout its entire history. They were chosen to represent the players' fiery ardor (red) and the opponents' fear to challenge the team (black). Rossoneri, the team's widely used nickname, literally means "the red & blacks" in Italian, in reference to the colours of the stripes on its jersey.[28]
Another nickname derived from the club's colours is the Devil. An image of a red devil was used as Milan's logo at one point with a Golden Star for Sport Excellence located next to it.[29] As is customary in Italian football, the star above the logo was awarded to the club after winning 10 league titles, in 1979. For many years, Milan's badge was simply the Flag of Milan, which was originally the flag of Saint Ambrose.[29] The modern badge used today represents the club colours and the flag of the Comune di Milano, with the acronym ACM at the top and the foundation year (1899) at the bottom.[29]
White shorts and black socks are usually worn as part of the home strip. Milan's away strip has always been completely white.[30] It is considered by both the fans and the club to be a lucky strip in Champions League finals, due to the fact that Milan has won six finals out of eight in an all white strip (losing only to Ajax in 1995 and Liverpool in 2005), and only won one out of three in the home strip. The third strip, which is rarely used, changes yearly, being mostly black with red trimmings in recent seasons.

The team's stadium is the 80,018 seat San Siro, officially known as Stadio Giuseppe Meazza after the former player who represented both Milan and Internazionale. The more commonly used name, San Siro, is the name of the district where it is located. San Siro has been the home of Milan since 1926, when it was privately built by funding from Milan's president at the time, Piero Pirelli. Construction was performed by 120 workers, and took 13 and a half months to complete. The stadium was owned by the club until it was sold to the city council in 1935, and since 1947 has been shared with Internazionale, when the other major Milanese club was accepted as joint tenant.
The first game played at the stadium was on 19 September 1926, when Milan lost 6–3 in a friendly match against Internazionale. Milan played its first league game in San Siro on 19 September 1926, losing 1–2 to Sampierdarenese. From an initial capacity of 35,000 spectators, the stadium has undergone several major renovations, most recently in preparation for the 1990 FIFA World Cup when its capacity was set to 85,700, all covered with a polycarbonate roof. In the summer of 2008 its capacity has been reduced to 80,018, to meet the new standards set by UEFA.
Based on the English model for stadiums, San Siro is specifically designed for football matches, as opposed to many multi-purpose stadiums used in Serie A. It is therefore renowned in Italy for its fantastic atmosphere during matches, thanks to the closeness of the stands to the pitch. The frequent use of flares by supporters contributes to the atmosphere but the practice has occasionally caused problems.
On 19 December 2005, Milan vice-president and executive director Adriano Galliani announced that the club is seriously working towards a relocation. He said that Milan's new stadium will be largely based on the Veltins-Arena and will follow the standards of football stadiums in the United States, Germany and Spain. As opposed to many other stadiums in Italy, Milan's new stadium will likely be used for football only, having no athletics track. The new stadium's naming rights will be probably sold to a sponsor, similarly to Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.[31] It remains to be seen if this plan will proceed or if this is just a ploy to force the owners (Comune di Milano) to sell the stadium to Milan for a nominal fee so as to proceed with extensive renovations. The possibility of Internazionale vacating San Siro may affect proceedings.

Supporters and rivalries

Milan is one of the best supported football clubs in Italy, according to research conducted by Italian newspaper La Repubblica.[32] Historically, Milan was supported by the city's working-class and trade unionists.[33] On the other hand, crosstown rivals Internazionale were mainly supported by the more prosperous and typically Milanese middle-class.[33] One of the oldest ultras groups in all of Italian football, Fossa dei Leoni, originated in Milan.[34] Currently, the main ultras group within the support base is Brigate Rossonere.[34] Politically, Milan ultras have never had any particular preference,[34] but the media traditionally associated them with the left-wing,[35] until recently, when Berlusconi's presidency somewhat altered that view.[36]
According to a study from 2010, Milan is the most supported Italian team in Europe and seventh overall, with over 18.4 million fans.[11] AC Milan had the ninth highest average attendance of European football clubs during the 2010–11 season, behind Borussia Dortmund, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Schalke, Arsenal, and Hamburg.[37][38][39][40][41]
Genoa fans consider Milan a hated rival after Genoa fan, Vincenzo Spagnolo was stabbed to death by a Milan supporter in January 1995.[42] However, Milan's main rivalry is with neighbour club, Internazionale; both clubs meet in the widely anticipated Derby della Madonnina twice every Serie A season. The name of the derby refers to the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose statue atop the Milan Cathedral is one of the city's main attractions. The match usually creates a lively atmosphere, with numerous (often humorous or offensive) banners unfolded before the start of the game. Flares are commonly present and contribute to the spectacle but they have occasionally led to problems, including the abandonment of the second leg of the 2004–05 Champions League quarterfinal match between Milan and Inter on 12 April 2005, after a flare thrown from the crowd by an Inter supporter struck Milan keeper Dida on the shoulder.[43]
